Southill Stables services
We have a wide choice of services designed to satisfy a range of livery needs - please check our price list for up to date fees.
Full livery
This service will suit the weekend rider, we muck out, groom, feed and exercise except on those days when you wish to ride yourself.
Part livery
As the full livery, except we do not exercise your horse, but should you be unable to ride we will do it for you, although there is an extra charge for this service.
Full and part livery notes
With both the full and part livery the tack is cleaned every time the horse is exercised, but with the grass liveries the owner is responsible for cleaning unless we have exercised for you.
Grass livery
This service is broken down into two categories, Summer and Winter, the only difference being the feeding of hay during the winter months. Again, if required, we can exercise your horse for you from the field.
Breaking
We have many years experience in breaking horses from cobs to thoroughbreds, and have broken many racehorses for trainers around the area.
Schooling
We can school your horse on the flat, over coloured poles, and have a flight of hurdles with which we school racehorses over before going into or returning to training. We have several cross country courses in the area and can hire these to school horses over solid obstacles and introduce them to water and ditches.
Racehorses
Over the years we have had many racehorses come to enjoy a summer break or to recover from injury, the most famous being Looks Like Trouble winner of the 2000 Cheltenham Gold Cup and trained by Noel Chance. We can introduce the horse back into work, building up their muscle and hardening legs, and have returned them to the trainer to see them win races three weeks after leaving us.
Tuition
Tuition is available both on the flat and over jumps, Sarah is pleased to teach clients on their own horse and give them the benefits of her many years experience.
Sundries
Plaiting, trimming and clipping services are available, see price list for details.
